The Arrogance of Ignorance

Body language. Not too hard to figure out-mime, ballet, kabuki, noh-even TV ads where we see
someone folding his arms while smiling confidently- that's a power move, an authoritative gesture.
One overused bit is the raised finger noted above-"This is important!" "Note This!" "I'm Serious!"
No-you're just using a visual cue to make a point. You could be talking about the Judge desertions
from American Idolatry, or how your Mom's tomato soup was the best, or anything else that fills your imagination.
Look at the assembly of 'heros' above. They reek of Authority, Confidence, Gravitas.
They are all fools. They are willfully ignorant fools. In case you haven't figured it out yet, this is a continuation of my last post. We go from Isaiah 52 all the way back to Psalm 52. Look on the faces above as you read:
"Psalm 52:1-7 (HCSB)
1 Why brag about evil, you hero! God’s faithful love is constant.
2 Like a sharpened razor, your tongue devises destruction, working treachery.
3 You love evil instead of good, lying instead of speaking truthfully.Selah
4 You love any words that destroy, you treacherous tongue!
5 This is why God will bring you down forever. He will take you, ripping you out of your tent; He will uproot you from the land of the living.Selah
6 The righteous will look on with awe and will ridicule him:
7 “Here is the man who would not make God his refuge, but trusted in the abundance of his riches, taking refuge in his destructive behavior.”

'The abundance of his riches'-would you like to make a guess as to the aggregated wealth represented in the picture above? Take Mike Moore out of the equation and the rest of them basically made their pile on the Public dime. Moore made his fortune complaining about Conservatives, so even his money is tangentially political.
Look at them. Godless all, secular all...doomed all, unless they come to Christ through His granting of Faith to believe. It can happen for anyone-God sometimes takes His children from the absolute dregs of humanity.
And makes them Holy. Only God can do that. Don't be a Schumer.

Sometimes I just have too much fun with Photoshop Elements. I should be in bed by now, but I was listening to Psalms 50-75 tonight at work, and I was struck by how 52:1-7 seemed descriptive of the Democrats these days.
70 years ago a bible blogger may have suggested Mussolini and Hitler for Psalm 52:1-7.
Martin Luther might have thus named the Pope.
The rulers described in the Psalm have many children down through history-and all to the same end go.

Schumer is Jewish. Doesn't that mean he is (or will be) saved by definition?

A theological question, Lu, which has many long answers but a few short ones. No.
The Bible does says that all of Israel will be saved. But it also identifies that only a remnant, a portion, will be all that is left of Israel when Christ returns.
A 'completed Jew'-a term not found in the Bible-is one who has 'found' the Messiah Jesus Christ. The church began in Jerusalem among 'completed Jews' who were rejected (as Christ was) by the Jewish leaders of their day.
Those Jewish leaders who rejected Christ are the 'theological ancestors' of most of the Jews living today. They still reject Christ, and only those who accept Christ will be saved.
Zola Levitt was an example of a 'completed Jew' in our day-born Jewish, lived as a secular Jew for years...and then met Christ and started outreach ministries to share Christ with other Jews.

Chuck Schumer, Al Franken, many others have been taught by their religious leaders that to be Jewish is their ticket to Heaven, no matter what kind of lives they lead.
Catholics are taught the same.
So are Lutherans. I was a Lutheran, but God saved me out of that dead religion and now I am simply a Christian who is a member of an Independent Baptist church.
Think about it-if Jews automatically were saved...what about the rest of humanity? Christ had a better plan, one which used the rejection by the Jews to extend the offer of Salvation to the rest of us. Paul in the book of Romans suggests that in part, the outreach to non-Jews would possibly make the Jews jealous, desirous of what God was granting to heathens.
Still need to get to bed.
